Ergonomics Symposium
The Ergonomics Center is celebrating our 30th anniversary by hosting our first Ergonomics Symposium! We are inviting our members, clients, and friends to the event, which will be held on August 14-15, 2024 at the Hunt Library on NCSU’s Centennial Campus. Join us for this unique opportunity to network and benchmark with each other on important issues in the field of ergonomics. The program will include tours of the Human-Systems labs in the Edward P. Fitts Department of Engineering, opportunities for industry and academia to discuss priorities for the future, and featured speakers from companies like Lockheed Martin, John Deere, SKF and others. Benchmarking sessions will include these topics:
- Starting Your Ergonomics Journey: Key Building Blocks for a Sustainable Program
- Sustaining and Elevating Your Ergonomics Program
- Participatory Ergonomics Programs
- Office Ergonomics for Today’s Workforce
- Emerging Technologies in Ergonomics: Moving into the Future
- Ergonomics, DEI, and Universal Design
Breakfast and lunch will be provided both days, and there will be a 30th Anniversary Networking Reception on August 14.
