Julia Abate
Bio
Julia G. Abate currently serves as the Executive Director for The Ergonomics Center. She has an undergraduate degree is in mechanical engineering and a master’s degree in industrial and operations engineering, both from the University of Michigan, and is certified by the Board of Certification in Professional Ergonomics (CPE).
Julia currently serves as one of the Conference Chairs for the Applied Ergonomics Conference and on the advisory boards for the IISE Transactions on Occupational Ergonomics and Human Factors, the North Carolina Occupational Safety and Health Education and Research Center (NC OSHERC) and the National Safety Council’s MSD SolutionsLab. She has 25 years of experience helping companies develop and grow their ergonomics programs.
